Please do not come at me with the ‘separation of church and state’ argument, unless you are prepared to tell me in which Article and Section of the U. S. Constitution the phrase can be found. Let me help you – it is not in the Constitution.
On this Memorial Day we honor our fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen. God Bless every one of them. Thank You.
Now we’re ready for the really fun part. After tracking your expenses for 30-90 days, develop your General Guidelines Budget and then plug these categories and amounts into either a Calendar or Spreadsheet Budget.
It is a Natural Law that ‘You Reap What You Sow;’ our actions do have consequences. The result of this decision and its ramifications are being felt more intensely the further we get from 1962. Much of our society’s disintegration can be traced to this one decision. If, for 50 years, we have taught people that there is no God, than how can we be surprised when they act as if there is no God?
Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.”
Can I make a case that prohibiting prayer in public school has led to the disintegration of our society? Yes, I will. It seems like a no-brainer to me. We are going to remove any influence of God or reference to Him and expect behavior to remain unchanged? That is the argument that seems like a stretch to me!
As the first step in developing your Budget, start by tracking ALL your expenses for 30-90 days (the longer you track, the clearer will be the picture of exactly where your money is going now).
References/Resources: “The Book of Proverbs” written primarily by King Solomon some 2,900 years ago. This collection of 31 Proverbs covers almost all aspects of life and is an excellent source of reference on how to live and behave. How to raise children, handle money and just daily behavior are key topics throughout Proverbs.
Housing costs should be less than 38% of your income. More than 38% could put such pressure on other expenses that your financial well-being could be in jeopardy. Likewise, be cautious about increasing your transportation budget beyond 15%.
Spent today with 6,700 of my fellow Missouri Christians in Jefferson City, attending Franklin Graham’s “Decision America Tour 2016”. Listened to Rev. Graham, who was on fire, and Prayed for America. I came away very encouraged and energized; America can be Saved – with God all things are possible. We are in a low spot, but we are coming back. How about you joining the fight – you can start tonight; just get on your knees and ask God to heal us. You’ll feel good about doing that!
